Services & Therapies

South East Psychology offers a range of therapies.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a directive, client-centred counselling style for eliciting behaviour change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence.

Logotherapy

Logotherapy

Logotherapy is a school of psychology and a philosophy based on the idea that we are strongly motivated to live purposefully and meaningfully, and that we find meaning in life as a result of responding authentically and humanely (i.e. meaningfully) to life’s challenges.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a relatively short term, focused approach to the treatment of many types of emotional, behavioural and psychiatric problems. The application of CBT varies according to the problem being addressed, but is essentially a collaborative and individualised program that helps individuals to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and learn or relearn healthier skills and habits

Trauma-Based Approach

Trauma-Based Approach

A trauma-based approach is used for persons who continue to suffer as a result of unresolved trauma (past and present). The aim of therapy is to provide a safe place to be heard and understood without fear of judgement in order to work towards post traumatic growth.

Relationship Counselling

Relationship Counselling

Relationship Counselling provides counselling support to individuals, couples and families to heal, rebuild, or strengthen their relationships.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) gets it name from one of its core messages: accept what is out of your personal control, and commit to action that improves and enriches your life.
